BoA (권 보아 Kwon, Boa, born in Gyeonggi , South Korea , 5 November 1986 ; age 30 years) is a singer of pop South Korea.
BoA released albums and singles in Korean and Japanese . Besides fluent in both languages, BoA fluent English and is studying Mandarin.
BoA has collaborated with artists such as Mondo Grosso , Westlife , Palm Drive, m-flo , Soul'd Out , and Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys .
BoA had come to Indonesia and appeared in Anugerah Music Indonesia (AMI) Samsung Award 2004. The album BoA produced and released in Indonesia by Indo Semar Sakti.
On October 14, 2008, under the label SM Entertainment USA, a subdivision of SM Entertainment, BoA performed in the United States with the single " Eat You Up " and released her first English language album, BoA on March 17, 2009.
The compilation album Best of Soul made BoA as a non-Japanese Asian singer first album sold over a million copies in Japan.
All the albums were released in Japan (5 studio albums and one compilation album) managed to rank number one on the album charts.
